Journeyman Plumber

Location: Greater Grand Rapids area, MI

Shift: Day shift

Pay: $30-$45/hour based on experience and certifictions

Job Summary:

The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing plumbing issues, working with various piping systems, and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.
• Diagnose plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctions, and provide effective solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine plumbing system layouts.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Work with various materials such as copper, PVC, PEX, and cast iron.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman or Master Plumber license (preferred or required depending on state regulations).
• Proven experience in commercial and industrial plumbing.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
