Renaissance Milwaukee West, a premium distinctive hotel is seeking an energized and curious minded Beverage and Food Attendant to join our team in Eldr+Rime's Market for Breakfast Service.

Eldr+Rime is a one-of-a-kind, destination restaurant showcasing new American cuisine inspired by modern Scandinavian lifestyle and culinary techniques. Eldr+Rime, which loosely translates to Fire+Ice, highlights grilling over live fire and wood oven roasting while also offering delectable seafood prepared over ice. Voted Best New Restaurant in Milwaukee in 2021!

Role Summary:

• Provide guests with a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely experience within the beverage and food outlets (i.e., restaurant market, lobby bar, and in-room dining). Maintain cleanliness and order of beverage and food outlets, assisting in both front of house and back of house duties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.

• Take guest orders of market (breakfast) food and beverage items.

• Prepare coffee and specialty coffee beverages to guest order.

• Use observation, intuition, and spontaneity in describing beverage and food items and assisting guest in selection of items, when needed. 

• Engage with guest while also ensuring guest line moves swiftly and guest expectations are met (while operating at a register).

• Take, serve or deliver beverage and food orders, and secure payment of guest (at the market counter or to a guest table within the restaurant, lobby lounge, or to guest room).

• Deliver in-room dining orders promptly, adhering to established company procedures.

• Complete bussing duties of guest tables, as needed; restock condiments, remove debris, clean table, polish utensils, etc.

• Maintain presentation of market display. Organize and restock market as needed.

• Maintain clean and sanitized beverage and food outlets. Wipe up spills, remove debris from counters and surrounding areas, and remove trash. Ensure that restaurant is staged and set for the next meal service.

• Operate cash register and handle cash. Must be apt in handling money, currency, coins (as well as credit card, debit card, and check transactions). Follow proper drawer closing and opening procedures to ensure no miscalculation in counting money. Maintain records regarding transactions on computer.

• Report to work on time and in full uniform.
• Other duties as required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in food service (cashier, barista, or server experience preferred).
• Flexible availability is required (including weekends).

Compensation:

• The starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour. This is a tip-eligible position.
